CHOOSE A MINISTRY

Thank you for your interest in serving on a River of Life Ministry Team. Each week about 100 volunteers join together at River of Life to serve the Lord, each other and you. These teams are filled with amazing people and you would be a great addition!

Every team matters in the mission. There is no one position or person that is more or less important. All are equally necessary to the Church accomplishing its God given purpose.

RLA strives for excellence and safety in ministry. You will find that each team will have requisites and training unique to that ministry. However, anyone that serves in any capacity at RLA will complete the following 3 basic steps:

  • Scroll down and read through the different team options

  •  Complete the Ministry Team Application located at the bottom of this page, indicating your team of interest.

We look forward to serving together in His Kingdom!

THE TEAMS

Band

The RLA Band serves whenever there is a need for music in worship at the church. Main parts of the band include acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, electric guitar and piano. If you are skilled in any of these instruments and are ready to serve a lot, this is probably the team for you.

Bus Driver

Each week RLA provides bus transportation for young people and children that want to come to church, but whose parents do not attend. If you love to drive and love kids this would be a great fit for you.

Children/Youth

If you enjoy spending time with children and youth, and have a desire to see them serve Jesus for a lifetime this team may be the perfect fit for you. There are options to serve infants through college age young people.

Choir (ages 14+)

The RLA Choir is the core of music and worship at River of Life! The heart of the Choir is to assist in ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit, to lead the congregation in worshipping the Lord and to minister to the church family through music. If you can sing and are ready to serve a lot, this is probably the team for you.

Faith Families

Each week RLA provides bus transportation for young people and children that want to come to church, but whose parents do not attend. Each of these kids has a faith family that 'adopts' them and loves them as they learn to follow Jesus. We also love connecting Faith Families to single-parent families for support and love. If you have a heart for children or a desire to help a single parent family thrive in their faith journey, then this is where you belong.

Jr. Choir (ages 5-13)

The RLA Jr. Choir is the avenue for kids who are gifted musically to be involved and minister. This team will help kids develop their musical skill while also giving them the opportunity to minister through music to the church family.

Jr. Red Carpet Ambassadors/RCA (ages 6-13)

The RLA Jr. RCA team is a great place for kids that are outgoing or have a heart to make others feel welcome and loved. This team will help kids develop their service skills while giving them opportunities to minister to the church family at that same time.

Media

If you are attentive, have a desire to learn "tech", and want to be used a lot, this is the team for you! The RLA Tech Team includes sound operators, computer operators, lighting operators and camera operators. This team is critical to the operation of services and events throughout the year.

Prayer

We are called by the Father to be people of prayer: "Faith works by love..." Through the love of Christ, the fountain of prayer for others flows forth. We love and we pray as Jesus shows us. If you desire to be used specifically in the place of prayer, you've found your team.

Red Carpet Ambassadors/RCA (ages 14 and up)

If sharing a smile, giving a warm welcome and serving people are things you love, this is the team for you! Red Carpet Ambassadors includes: greeters, ushers, hospitality room hosts and info desk specialists.

Small Group Leaders/Teachers

RLA has opportunities for those who love to teach or facilitate adult groups. These groups focus on Biblical teaching and developing supportive relationships among the members of the group.
